Eating and Drinking
Tea & coffee is plentiful 24/7 in the Astro Hub and a fridge is available for you to store food for drinks, lunches and snacks. There are a number of covered and open-air eating areas and a barbeque in the grounds for you to enjoy mealtimes.
Our meals are freshly prepared from homegrown and local products.
Breakfast, served daily from 8.00 am to 12 noon, includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit juices, warm croissants, honey and jam, yoghurts and cereals.
If the guests have been up all night with their telescopes, they can have breakfast right up until lunchtime!
Please note that we are not able to sell alcohol but you can purchase drinks at our local supermarket just 1km away. We have even provided a large guest fridge for chilling your drinks in the summer!
We also offer an optional delicious, freshly cooked, 2 course ‘Plat de Jour’ dinner with a glass of wine, each evening for €15. Where possible we source local ingredients and in the summer we supply our own vegetables from the allotment.
You can request an evening meal on a daily basis - please order before 10.30 am on the day and by 10.30 am on a Saturday for a Sunday meal! We can only offer one option and although we can provide an option for vegetarians, we cannot cater for special diets (or fussy eaters)! You can then pay for what you have had at the end of your stay.
The fully equipped kitchen in the Gite and a supermarket just 1km away, makes it easy for you to prepare lunches, dinners, picnics and snacks at Astrofarm. You can buy all your wonderful local French cheeses, pates, meats and breads. Alternatively, we have a purpose-built barbecue if you would like to cook as a group.
