Food and drink at Astrofarm
Breakfast is served daily from 8.00 to 11.00 am and we are happy to provide earlier or later breakfasts by arrangement. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, fruit juices, warm croissants or toast, honey and jam, yoghurts and cereals (varied daily). In the winter we can make porridge and hot chocolate for a special treat!
Eating & relaxing
The dining room is a communal area, with table seating for 10 guests and and is used during cooler months for evening meals. We provide a fridge and freezer for guest food storage and the garden room is open 24/7 for making tea, coffee and soup. Tea and coffee making can also be set up in the Dortoir for early risers!
Please note that we are not able to sell alcohol but you can purchase drinks at our local supermarket just 1km away. We have even provided a large guest fridge for chilling your drinks in the summer.
During the warmer months, the outside veranda is a delightful social area for eating with a barbecue facility and plentiful seating. With heating in winter, the warm room on the astronomy centre site provides a comfortable space to relax where visitors can enjoy an extensive library, games, comfy chairs and Wi-Fi and a cup of tea!
Lunch and Dinner
We have a well stocked supermarket just 1km away where you can buy wonderful local French cheeses, pates, meats and breads for lunches, picnics and snacks. Alternatively, we have a purpose built barbecue if you would like to cook as a group. You are free to use the dining room or any of the patios for lunchtime eating.
We provide an optional delicious, freshly cooked, 2 course vegetarian ‘Plat de Jour’ dinner with a glass of wine, each evening served at a time to suit your group activities. Evening meals can be booked on the day or in advance to suit your group need. Where possible we source local ingredients and in the summer we supply our own vegetables from the allotment.
