Food and drink at Astrofarm

Breakfast, served daily from 8.00 am to 12 noon, includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit juices, warm croissants, honey and jam, yoghurts, eggs, fresh fruit and cereals. If the guests have been up all night with their telescopes, they can have breakfast right up until lunchtime!

Eating & relaxing

The dining room is a communal area, with table seating for 10 guests and and is used during cooler months for evening meals. We provide a fridge and freezer for guest food storage and astrocafe is open 24/7 for making tea, coffee and soup.

Please note that we are not able to sell alcohol but you can purchase drinks at our local supermarket just 1km away. We have even provided a large guest fridge for chilling your drinks in the summer!

During the warmer months, the outside veranda is a delightful social area for eating with a barbecue facility and plentiful seating. With heating in winter, warm room on the astronomy centre site provides a comfortable space to relax where visitors can enjoy an extensive library, games, comfy chairs and wifi and a cup of tea!

Lunch and Dinner

We have a well stocked supermarket just 1km away where you can buy wonderful local French cheeses, pates, meats and breads for lunches, picnics and snacks. Alternatively, we have a purpose built barbecue if you would like to cook as a group. You are free to use the dining room or any of the patios for lunchtime eating.

We provide a delicious, freshly cooked, 2 course ‘Plat de Jour’ dinner with a glass of wine, each evening served at a time to suit the nights astronomy activities. Where possible we source local ingredients and in the summer we supply our own vegetables from the allotment. We can only offer one option and although we can provide a variation for vegetarians, we cannot cater for special diets (or fussy eaters)!
